In 2023, Sister Bernard celebrates the 70th anniversary of her Religious Profession.
On March 12, 2023, Sisters, relatives and friends celebrated with Sister Bernard her diamond anniversary. The celebration began with Thanksgiving Holy Mass at 11 a.m. followed by dinner. Joy and happiness filled all the present.
Sister Bernard entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Divine Redeemer on February 10, 1951 and became a postulant. On August 15, 1951 started her novitiate and after two years, she sealed her love with Jesus on August 15, 1953. She made her final vows in 1958.
After her first profession, Sister Bernard was assigned to teach. After her graduation from B.A. Mt. Mercy Pittsburgh in 1959, she worked several years in the Divine Redeemer Hospital as Medical Records Librarion. Her other assigments were: teaching, Councilor and ministry at the Motherhouse, Day Care, Burser, Archivist and Librarian.
Although Sister Bernard suffers a lot, she is happy to offer her suffering to her Bridegroom. She offers her suffering for our Congregation, her family, the needs of the Church and of the whole world.
SISTER BERNARD, GOD BLESS YOU ON YOUR ANNIVERSARY!
